In expressing an interest in Norham High School, we will start to share valuable information with you that will support your child in making the best possible start.

As a good oversubscribed school, unfortunately we cannot guarantee places to all new Year 7 applicants and so it is essential to apply as early as possible to secure a place.

While Norham High Schools excels with our current pupils, we place huge importance on younger pupils that look forward to joining our school in the future. This is why we share our main transition plan (please see HERE).

Every child receives a visit from our Head of Year and a member of our Senior Leadership Team at their own primary school to discuss with them their hopes, and ambitions but also their worries. Moving to “big” school is a “big” deal for some of our young learners and as such we support, prepare and help them build their confidence.

The other part of our story is the fantastic work we do with pupils from Year 4, 5 and 6 within our school premises. For example, did you know that we collaborate with primary school to provide specialist workshops in our fully equipped facilities...

Through these, we expose your child to the wonders of Science, Technology and Creative Arts all within our bespoke facilities – all of these sessions are ran by our secondary school subject specialists who will support your child during transition and the future.
